This year we try something new and participate in the Battle of the Bands of the Sonic Seducer music magazine!
You can listen to us and our 29 fellow campaigners on the CD of the current issue and vote either with the ballot from the magazine or at

Gothic Meets Klassik Leipzig 2018

We had the honour to sing with Joachim Witt at Gothic Meets Klassik 2018 in Leipzig. The performance was recorded for a live CD and we had a lot of fun rehearsing and singing in the Gewandhaus in Leipzig.

We are back home and had a sunny and musical WGT!
Thanks to all of you! You were a great audience and we’ll be back at WGT next year, for sure! It was wonderful to sing for and with you and we’re looking forward to presenting new songs as background choir for Scardust on 15th of July in Berlin.

Record Release Party! Celebrate with us on 4.5. (Fr) from 20 pm at the Marie-Antoinette!

We publish our new live album and this is a reason to celebrate with you!
What awaits you?

Admission is at the Marie-Antoinette from 20 pm.
In the pre-listening session you can listen to the sound of our live album before it officially is released on 5.5. Then DJ Jan Canto puts up music for you to enjoy and dance!
You can purchase the new CD and other merch, get your pre-orders and we will sign everything if you want. Come to talk to us!

Entry 6 €. Write us that you’ll come (facebook comment, pn or e-mail) and you only pay 5 €.
For everyone there is a consumption voucher of 2,50 €!

Stimmgewalt at WGT 2018!

We will sing two concerts at this year’s Wave Gotik Treffen (WGT) in Leipzig!

First performance will be at Victorian Village (12:15 as opener), come and hear wonderful music, see creativ clothes and have a cup of tee!

Second performance will be at VEID e.V. 16:10 as a benefit concert. Every time we’re singing there it is an awesome experience – come and share it with us this year!

Nothing is forever, especially not in (dark) showbiz:
Our long-time bass and co-founder Jan has decided to focus his energy on other projects and leave Stimmgewalt.

We thank him for the years of strength, creativity and, of course, vocal might (that pun doesn’t work at all in English) he has given us, and wish him all the best on his path.

In Jan’s own words:

“Dear friends of extraordinary a cappella music,
I hereby declare that I’m leaving Stimmgewalt.

It’s no big deal for band and the music since I have never been a “frontman” – contrary to what some people proclaimed. The other members will continue to sing those extraordinary tunes you got used to.

The reason for my leaving is simple: time. In addition to my carrier as an engineer the new Van Canto album and tour 2018 will demand a lot of “work” so that I won’t have time to be a full member of two bands.

I wish Stimmgewalt all the best for the future and fans as loyal as always!
